From the dust jacket:
"This important travel-book describes the adventurous crossing on ski of the little-known Coast Range of British Columbia, which has only recently been found to contain a peak (Mount Waddington, or "Mystery Mountain") over 13,000 feet high.
Sir Norman Watson's party approached with pony transport through the densely wooded river valleys east of the range, eventually carrying the loads on foot up to their base camp above the snow line, at the foot of the Scimitar Glacier..."
