Join Adidas Outdoor, Five Ten, and The American Alpine Club for this year's Hueco Rock Rodeo. 

The desert tradition continues in it's 25th year. The Hueco Rock Rodeo has become the proving ground for climbers of all abilities and from every corner or the world to test their meddle and stack up as many V-Points as possible in a single day session at Hueco Tanks.

(NOTE: Weekend pass does NOT get you in the park AND you will NOT be able to secure a reservation or tour during the Rodeo...if you want to climb during the weekend, you NEED to get a competitor pass.)

Thursday 15th:

CAMPING IS NOT INCLUDED ON THURSDAY NIGHT

 

5:00pm - 8:00pm: Registration

Registration will be open on the front Porch of the Hueco Rock Ranch - 

Those competing on Friday can register on Thursday evening or Friday morning from 8:00am - 9:30am.

 

7:30pm - 8:00pm - Volunteer & Guide Meeting 

If you are planning on volunteering please join us in the barn for volunteer and guid orientation. 

Pizza will be served and film to follow. 

 

8:00pm: Fred Beckey Documentary

Fred Beckey is the original American “Dirtbag” mountaineer. 

The groundbreaking life story of this rebel athlete, who inspired generations of climbers with his monumental first ascents and eloquent books, is told for the first time in this exclusive documentary film. 

 

Friday 16th:  

 

7:30am - 9:30am: Climbergoods Climber Coffee in the Barn! 

Coffee made by climbers to get you psyched!

 ***Special Note-This and all meals provided are part of a no-waste initiative so please bring your own plate, fork, mug, etc…Thank You!

 

8:00am - 9:30am: Comp Registration 

Registration will be open on the front Porch of the Hueco Rock Ranch. 

 

9:00am - 10:30am: Shuttles are off to take competitors from the Ranch to the park. 

 

10:00am - 5:00pm: Bouldering Competition-REC. ONLY

Today’s competition is held only for those in the Recreational Category.

 

4:00pm -8:00pm- Event Tattoos in the Barn 

 ***Special Note- If you are interested in being tattooed please visit the sign-up sheet located in the barn. Tattoos are $20, half of which will be donated to protect Bears Ears. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you’ve missed your chance. Please pay after your appointment. Cash preferred, card accepted.

7:30pm: Comp Orientation in the barn

 

8:00pm: Chalk Talks!

Quick lectures with Jason Khel, Shelma Jun, Keenan Takahashi and Chris Schulte. Topics range from climbing access, high balls, current events and FAs. Panel and open discussion hosted by Redbud Suds to follow. Held in the barn. 

9:30pm: Karaoke in the Barn

Stick around for a Hueco Tanks Favorite hosted by the Prince of Hueco.

 

Saturday 17th:

 

Get it! We'll kick it off with some send juice and burrito power...grab some kicks from any of the vendors for demos!

Head to the park, burn off your friends, come back and party the night away!!!

5:30: Hueco Tanks Climber Celebration

The evening will feature free swag and gear handouts, raffles featuring amazing deals on top end gear, funky haircuts, free beer (21+), live music, tattoos (18+), a vendor village, artist market, games, and more! 

 

7:30pm: Awards

Boulder hard, win prizes. Simple as that. Prizes will be awesome but are currently TBA.   

 

8:30pm: Dyno Competition

Jumping is hard. Doing it in front of bright lights and drunken strangers? Even harder! Show us how good you are and win some cool stuff. Spots are limited- first 10 Men and Women will be able to participate. 

 

9:30pm: Dance Party in the Desert 

Dance till the stars come down from the rafters. BYO-Glowsticks!

 

Sunday 18th:

 

8:30am - 10:00am: Climber Coffee + Breakfast in the Barn
